Who runs the Manhattan Cocktail Classic?

The Manhattan Cocktail Classic is a privately owned organization that is run by its Executive Director, James Moreland, and his team of professionals. With over seventeen years in the spirits industry, James is known as a first class mixologist and one of the foremost spirits connoisseurs in the U.S. Always on the leading edge and continually expanding the boundaries of cocktail culture, James brings his significant talent, passion and vision to the Classic, along with his commitment to give back to the industry through his creation, the Barkeeps Trust. What’s new at this year’s Classic?

There are several exciting additions and improvements to the new Classic. For starters, the Festival has been extended to 7 days which means that consumers, brands, and partners will have many more exciting opportunities to participate in cocktail receptions, seminars, trade shows, bar circuits, tastings, and more!

This year’s Festival opens on May 11th with a spectacular black-tie gala at the Central Park Boathouse. That event is followed by 5 days of educational events, experiential activations and parties, and our Cocktail Rumbles (Link). This year also marks the introduction of Harlem (Link) to the Classic. The Festival culminates with a fun-filled Masquerade Ball at The New Yorker hotel on May 17th . Last but not least, this year’s Festival also marks the introduction of the Barkeeps Trust.

Who can take part in the Manhattan Cocktail Classic?
